Snügg 2017 Bottle Release

  • Moustache Brewing Co.

We are excited to announce the return of Snügg. If you recall, when we've released these bottles in the past, they've sold out pretty quickly! Be sure to grab one to enjoy this winter.

This ale is inspired by the Scandinavian mulled wine called glögg that Matthew’s mom makes every year for cold winter nights. Snügg is held in a twice used barrel, first by port then by rye. Port wine and rye whiskey are the two main ingredients in mom's glögg, so this barrel was perfect!

It's accompanied in the barrel by oranges, lemons, raisins, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. We follow the spice blend that our family has been using for years. It is best enjoyed fireside with a blanket during a cold night or snowstorm.

"From Plankton to Whales- Just a few reasons why our local waters are worth protecting"

With endless stories and photos of fish kills, harmful algal blooms, oil spills, beach closures, etc. filling our daily newsfeeds, it appears that our environment is in a horrific state of “Doom and Gloom”. Although we do face many environmental challenges, this constant bombardment of negativity creates a lack of enthusiasm among local communities when it comes to protecting our environment.

Come down on Thursday September 8 and regain your enthusiasm for protecting our marine environment. Learn about some of the fascinating marine life that inhabits the waters of Long Island in Chris Paparo’s talk, “From Plankton to Whales- Just some of the reasons why our local waters are worth protecting.”

Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, talk will take place on the lawn at sunset.
