We are excited to once again bring you the "Nature Talks" lecture series, a collaboration between Fish Guy Photos and Moustache Brewing Co.

For the summer/fall schedule all talks will be held outside on the front lawn under the stars. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and come hungry as Eat Me,Drink Me Truck will be there serving up their juicy hamburgers! Talks start shortly after sunset, so the start times will vary week to week. In the event of bad weather, the talk will be at 7 pm and held in the tasting room.

This week's speaker is Tara Rider Zeiss from School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences and she will be giving the talk

"The Swashbuckling History of Women in Piracy" - In the predominantly male world of seafaring, metaphors about mysterious and destructive femininity have been consistently linked to the sea. Yet flesh and blood women sailed on ships, steered them, commanded them, commandeered them and sank with them. Spanning the globe and centuries, female pirates have sailed the seas, captivating audiences both in their own times and today. Come explore the history of these notorious female pirates and decide whether they were rogues, she-devils, or trailblazers?

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU COME IN YOUR BEST PIRATE COSTUME!!!
