Dexterity Issues: A Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser

  • Moustache Brewing Co. 400 Hallett Ave Riverhead, NY USA (map)

"Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that damages the nerves in the brain causing interruptions in the brain's communication with the body. It sucks. Common problems range from trouble walking, clumsiness, blurred or double vision, slurred speech, exhaustion, cognitive impairment (sounds a lot like being drunk all the time), numbness and tingling, pain and stiffness, spasticity, becoming blind, paralysis... Pretty much, if the brain controls it, it may be affected. I was diagnosed with MS over two years ago and I really want someone to find a cure."
- Matthew Spitz, Moustache Brewing Co. Co-Owner / Brewmaster, Living with MS

On February 28th 2016, Lauri and Matthew will be racing up the 66 flights of stairs at 30 Rockefeller Plaza with a goal of raising $10,000 for the the National MS society. This money will help to fund research that we hope will soon lead to a cure.

"Whoa! $10,000 is a boatload of cash!"

Yep. But that is money that will help fund research and fund programs and treatments for those living with MS.

"So how can I help?"

There are several a ways you can help us meet our goal:

1: Join us on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 4-9pm at the brewery. We'll be donating 100% of all of our beer sales that night to the National MS Society. We will be releasing Dexterity Issues, a special double IPA brewed just for the MS fundraiser. There will also be raffles and a 50/50 as well. Come drink beers and do good. Win, win.
